Working with Psychmetrix has helped immensely. I was unable to understand why I had made the errors of judgement I made and working through this program helped me learn why and develop safeguards against future mistakes. Transformative would sum it up.

Do not hesitate to use Psychmetrix, and use her before your case comes to a hearing. Liz Gibb just points out the obvious in a kind way and with empathy. For me, this helped with the resentment that I had towards the GDC and it allowed constructive work to be done to help gain the insight that I was lacking. My suspension was lifted without conditions and my brain returned to a better, healthier place. Thank you, Liz.

I have absolutely no problem recommending this service. The decision to use this service was taken by myself but in some cases the decision may be made by a court or governing body. It was a very simple process engaging like this and certainly not a hardship so no-one should be worried about it. Most conversations were taken over Skype, which was very convenient and there were no great surprises when we eventually met in person. This kind of lateral thinking has made me take a step back prior to decision making and to see how actions may effect others.

I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone having to present work and/or themselves before their governing body to seek assistance and guidance from Psychmetrix in the first instance.

I found myself faced with the onerous accusation of Dishonesty before the PCC. This is quite rightly a sackable offence. Liz helped me understand the definition of dishonesty and misleading to allow me to understand why I found myself faced with these charges. That then allowed me to present my side of the story to explain my actions and conduct were honourable. After the counselling with Liz I felt much more confident presenting my philosophy and my own use of language. The committee concluded that, when I gave oral evidence, I was an honest, reliable, believable and credible witness. You are in a very lonely place and without Liz Gibb I would have seriously struggled. I would advise anyone facing the PCC that the sessions with PsychMetrix will make all the difference. Many thanks.
A Dental Practitioner
Since graduating from the University of Dundee in 1996 I have worked with several organisations and had a varied career. My first appointment was as teaching fellow with the psychology division at the University of Abertay in Dundee where I spent several years teaching psychology at undergraduate level. I then took an applied role as a trainer with the Scottish Police at their training college in Tulliallan where I was involved in developing and delivering training in a range of areas for new recruits, including diversity and equality, and investigative interviewing skills. It was at this time I developed an interest for assisting individuals with neuro-diverse conditions such as dyslexia as I recognised a significant percentage of new recruits in each cohort appeared to struggle with specific parts of the probationer program. Moving from the police college, my next appointment was as a manager in Edinburgh with a special NHS health board for Education where I held a national post overseeing the assessment of all new dental trainees in Scotland. I also became involved in research on the development of insight and self-awareness amongst new dentists at this time. The development of insight is vital for safe practice amongst health professionals for regulating their performance. I later moved into a training and research role with the Dental Deanery in Dundee where I designed several tools to improve and monitor performance in the workplace including an appraisal system for dental educators as well as a business skills module for undergraduate dental students.
Prior to setting up Psychmetrix Ltd. I was a member of the Health Services Research unit at the University of Aberdeen where I conducted research on behaviour change amongst health care professionals including opticians and pharmacists. I have worked with and trained many health care employees from senior consultants to undergraduate students and trainees.
I am still actively engaged in research which ensures that my practice of occupational psychology is kept up to date and I continue to deliver presentations at events arranged by the British Psychological Society.
Liz is great easy to talk to, and generally great support. Before seeing Liz my registration was under threat, working with Liz improved the outcome of my PCC hearing with as my barrister stated a very favourable outcome. I would highly recommend anyone facing a hearing seek Liz's advice.

The process of being held to account by a regulatory body is very stressful indeed. Meeting with Liz helped me firstly understand the regulatory process, then helped me understand my responses to different situations. A diagnosis of Dyslexia came as a huge surprise but again reinforced areas that were weak and liable to lead to problems. I am absolutely convinced that without Liz's help in understanding the reflection process, my suspension would not have been revoked early. The process is quite expensive, especially when you have just lost your job and any form of income. But if you want to turn it around and either avoid or reverse a suspension, then using Psychmetrix is a very sure investment.

Testimonials
Dear Liz,
I would like to thank you for making the time to do such an in-depth assessment. It helped a great deal in the pre-resit sessions I had with my tutor. It has paid off and I learnt today that I have passed the examination.
Your report made a difference and I was glad I went through that process, although I must say I am glad I was not aware of my limitations when I was younger. I believe I may never have tried to attain anything in my life. I now know that, despite my difficulties, I have attained what I want in the way of qualifications to do what I love most in life to do as a job.
Yours sincerely.
A dental professional.
